In May of 2023, on Mother’s Day in Spain, Estefanía Banini, Ludmila da Silva, Leicy Santos, and Rash Ajibade, players of Atlético de Madrid Femenino, received an unexpected surprise: a visit from their mothers, who traveled to Madrid to reunite with them. Four countries, four different trajectories, one same emotion. The idea was not to build a grand narrative or force a message. It was something simple and real: focusing on the bond, the distance, what is left behind when pursuing a career far from home, and what it means to be reunited, even if only for a moment. Ria accompanied these stories from a discrete and coherent position, facilitating the reunion without putting itself in the center. The content was built from real emotion, spontaneous reactions, and the intimacy of a moment that doesn’t repeat. There were no scripts, no acting. Just mothers, daughters, and a reunion that spoke for itself.
